I've been listening to a lot of Katekyou Hitman Reborn in the car lately, and Kufufu no Fu comes up a lot, because I love driving to it ^_^ I figured out a couple lines by ear and wanted to know what the rest of the song meant. So I checked online. No dice. Granted, I didn't look -that- hard, but after I found a glaring (to me) mistake in AnimeLyrics' kanii version of it, I decided to do it myself.

Yes, I went and did a translation.

Now, I had it almost typed up and nice, with notes on my word choices, but the beloved (note sarcasm) laptop Back keyboard button reared it's ugly head and I lost the entry. FUCK YOU BACK BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, here is as much as I can stand to retype.

Notes:
The line "Kufufu The Sound of my laughter" is "kufufu kufufu no fu" in Japanese, which is basically "The fu of kufufu." I took some liberty here, since Mukuro is referring the that lingering sound of his laugh- kufufu.

It's really interesting watching these videos of the dance referred to in the song. It's fast-paced and full of movement- a really difficult dance. It's also really, really sensual, which multiplies that hint of Mukuro the Molester in the first line of the song... But maybe that's just me.


I have no plans to translate Sakura Addiction or Hitoribocchi no Sadame at the moment.
